Bosch Virdi - Managing Director

Bosch has over 45 years' experience working within the Automotive and Port Sectors. He is a commercially astute and inspiring leader with proven ability to identify and realise business opportunities, providing robust solutions and expert advice to drive growth, efficiencies and service delivery to meet customer and shareholders' interests.

Bosch has accumulated extensive knowledge from working at all levels within the Automotive Sector, from motor vehicle master technician through to board level leaderships roles developing and delivering logistical solutions to OEMs, Ports and Government ministries.

His early working career with Roll Royce Motors implanted in him the mantra of product quality and first-class customer relationships. He is well-known for his practical hands-on approach to resolving logistical problems, such as streamlining workflows and processes, reducing costs, minimising handling and wastage, improving efficiencies, developing and implementing IT systems and enhancing customer care.  

Bosch has worked with and managed operations for many OEMs including Rolls Royce, Saab, Mercedes Benz, Ford, Honda, VW, BMW, Renault, Nissan, JLR, Suzuki Maruti, Tata and Toyota.

Most recently, Bosch has been heavily involved in the outsourcing of Marchwood Port (a 240 acre MOD asset) including tender submission, negotiating with the Treasury and MOD which resulted in the award of a 35 year contract. To provide continuity, Bosch also took full responsibility as Port Director for the transition including the transfer of assets from MOD to private operator and to develop sea and land assets to meet stakeholders expectations, including Treasury, MOD and the local community to provide safe operations and fulfil national defence commitments.

 

John Gunn - Finance  Director 

John has over 23 years' experience working at a corporate level within the Automotive Sector, for an organisation that grew to be a market-leading provider of end-to-end logistical services to OEMs and other blue-chip companies during his tenure.  

He is a commercially focussed financial professional having extensive experience across operations, IT, legal and compliance in addition to the management of the accounting function. He has worked closely with the business-owners formulating business strategy providing relevant direction and guidance, bringing financial and commercial priorities to the decision-making process, identifying key drivers both financial and operational, identifying risks and opportunities, optimising financial performance and strategic positioning.

He has considerable experience in tendering for services to OEMs and Shipping Lines from vessel husbandry, stevedoring, vehicle terminal operations including added-value activities through to vehicle delivery operations. His deep understanding of the operations has enabled competitive pricing of these services leading to the awarding and retention of business. 

He has also worked collaboratively with other team members on numerous projects ranging from the implementation of IT systems, the design and development of new port facilities, the establishment of overseas operations through to business acquisitions and due diligence.    

He has detailed knowledge of financial modelling techniques and their application to forecasting, budgeting and business valuations; holding both the Financial Modelling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) and Business Intelligence & Data Analyst (BIDA) qualifications awarded by the Corporate Finance Institute.

Prior to his Automotive Sector experience, John worked in public practice for 7 years for a firm of Chartered Accountants specialising in SME clients.

John is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
